Signature Generator 2026: Draw, Type or Upload a Signature
Sign with your finger, a mouse or a pen, or type your name in a handwriting font. Download a transparent PNG, JPG, JPEG or PDF, or resize it for an SSC or IBPS form. Nothing leaves your device.
With a stylus, Apple Pencil or S Pen, pressing harder draws a thicker line, and once the pen has touched the pad your palm is ignored.
Your signature
Your signature will appear here.
A transparent PNG has no background, so only the ink shows on your document. JPG, JPEG and PDF always have a white background.
Nothing leaves your device
Your signature is drawn, typed and converted in this browser. It is never uploaded and never saved: close the tab and it is gone.
Resize for an exam or job form
Exam and recruitment portals reject a signature outside their size limits. Their notices describe a signature made with a pen on white paper and scanned, so sign on paper, photograph it and use Upload above, then pick your form here. Check the limits against your own notice before you download.
IBPS guidelines: sign on white paper with a black ink pen, not in capital letters. Preferred size 140 × 60 pixels, file 10–20 KB.
Limits differ between notices. Check the one for your exam before you upload. Read the notice
Draw, type or upload a signature above first.
How to create your signature online
- Choose Draw, Type or Upload.
- Draw on the pad (on a phone, tap Bigger pad), or type your name and pick a style, or choose a photo and move the background slider until the paper disappears.
- Pick the ink colour: black or blue suits most documents.
- Choose a size and download a transparent PNG, JPG, JPEG, PDF or SVG, or tap Share to send it.
- For an exam form, pick IBPS, SSC or Custom under Resize for an exam or job form and download the JPG.
About the Signature Generator
This signature generator makes an image of your signature that you can put on a PDF, a Word file, an invoice, a letter or an online form. Draw it with your finger on a phone, with a mouse, or with a stylus such as an Apple Pencil or an S Pen, where the pen's pressure sets the line width. Or type your name and pick one of ten handwriting fonts, two of them in Devanagari for a Hindi signature. Or photograph a signature you have already made on paper, and the tool clears the paper so only the ink is left.
The downloads are a transparent PNG with no background, which sits cleanly on any document; a PNG or JPG on white; a JPEG for forms that want that extension; a one-page PDF; and an SVG of a drawn signature that stays sharp at any size. Every file is trimmed to the ink, so there is no empty margin to crop.
Exam and recruitment portals such as IBPS and SSC accept a signature only within set pixel and file-size limits. The resize section fits your signature onto a canvas of exactly the size your form asks for, and adjusts the JPG until the file is inside the KB range. Everything happens in your browser: the signature is never uploaded, and nothing is kept after you close the page.
Where you can use it
- Signing a PDF or a Word file: insert the transparent PNG as a picture and place it on the signature line.
- Invoices, quotations, offer letters and rent receipts that you send as a PDF.
- Exam, job and admission forms that ask you to upload a scanned signature.
- An email signature, as a small PNG.
Is an image signature legally valid?
A picture of your signature is not a digital signature. Under the Information Technology Act, 2000 an electronic record is authenticated with a digital signature (section 3) or with an electronic signature technique that is reliable and listed in the Act's Second Schedule (section 3A), such as Aadhaar-based eSign. Where a portal asks for a document to be signed that way, for example a company filing on the MCA portal or an e-tender, you need a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) or eSign; an image will not do.
Where a form, an employer or a client asks you to upload or attach an image of your signature, this tool makes exactly that. Whether a particular document is accepted with it is for whoever receives it to decide.
Tips for a signature that is accepted
- Sign the way you sign on paper. IBPS can disqualify a candidate whose signature at the exam does not match the one uploaded.
- Do not sign in capital letters: IBPS rejects them. IBPS asks for black ink; SSC asks for a horizontally aligned signature.
- Keep it large and clear. SSC rejects blurred or miniature signatures; the resize fills the box so yours is not tiny.
- For a photo, sign on plain white paper with a dark pen and shoot it in daylight without shadows, straight from above.
